Hi, I’m Stacey! 👋

I’m the face behind Stacey On Social, where community, connection, and content are at the heart of everything I do.

My mission?

To help solopreneurs like you use social media to connect with your community and turn followers into loyal customers.

My passion for storytelling started back in university, where I earned my degree in Media and Communication in 2016.

But my love for social media runs even deeper—I’ve been working in this space for 13 years and running my own business for 7.

Over that time, I’ve seen the power of online communication to build not just networks, but close, meaningful communities.

That’s what inspires my work every day.

When I’m not helping my clients tackle their social media, I’m at home with my two teenage boys (life is never boring!) and my husband of 18 years.

I’m also a music lover with a growing record collection.

Fun fact: I've been to over 100 concerts and once body-surfed at a Tragically Hip concert the day before my 20th birthday—it’s a memory that still makes me smile!

Struggling to connect with new clients and make your Instagram work for your business?

A few years back, I was right where you are—showing up on Instagram, posting consistently, yet feeling like I was spinning my wheels without the traction I wanted.

I knew I had something valuable to offer, but reaching the right audience felt like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Then, everything changed when I started focusing on four core actions.

Instead of trying to do everything, I narrowed it down to strategies that made a genuine impact.

First, I started collaborating with other people in my niche. Those collaborations opened doors I hadn’t even thought of—podcasts, virtual summits, speaking engagements. Each partnership expanded my reach and helped me connect with new clients, all while supporting others in the industry.

Then, I got serious about engaging intentionally. I set aside 20-40 minutes a day to interact—commenting on followers' posts, connecting with people viewing my Stories, and showing up in niche hashtags. What started as a daily habit soon became a strategy that built real relationships.

But here’s the key: I started listening to my audience. Instead of guessing what they wanted, I paid close attention to their likes, comments, and shares. I used Instagram Stories to ask for their input directly, letting them guide me on what to post.

The result? Content that resonated because it was created for them.

And finally, I focused on creating shareable content—stuff people wanted to save and send to others. I leaned into checklists, how-tos, personal stories, and carousels. My last carousel was saved over 40 times, proof that valuable content speaks for itself.

Hackers are targeting business accounts more than

Hackers are targeting business accounts more than ever lately.

I've been in the background a few times, supporting frustrated business owners who’ve had to fight to get their accounts back.

One client had $2,000 in fraudulent ads run on their Facebook page—absolutely shocking! And the most recent one had the hacker try to gain access to their bank accounts and PayPal account.😲

Here’s how to protect yourself—it’s easier than you think:

1. Set up two-factor authentication for your social media and emails, but avoid using your cell phone number; a secured email account works better if your phone is lost.

2. Use a password manager like @dashlane (my personal favorite). It generates strong passwords, stores them securely, and even monitors your Password Health. Dashlane also offers Dark Web Monitoring and a VPN for safe browsing.

3. Enable biometrics on your devices (fingerprint or face ID) for an extra layer of security.

4. Keep your password private in public places. Even empty spaces can have cameras, so be cautious about sharing your screen.

5. Share access through your password manager if you have a VA or social media manager. Dashlane lets you give access without revealing the password itself.

6. Install antivirus protection on all devices—I use @malwarebytesofficial, and it’s great for peace of mind.

7. Use a VPN on public networks to keep your data secure from prying eyes.

Finally, show your face on social media. If your account gets hacked, Meta may require a photo ID to verify you, and having your face visible can help them confirm your identity. Avoid solely relying on graphics; connecting authentically with your audience is key, and it helps with verification if the worst happens.

If you do get hacked, be wary of “helpers” who charge fees to recover accounts—many just take your money. Even Meta faces challenges as hackers stay ahead with evolving tactics.
